Three Billboards, Lady Bird Win Big at 75th Golden Globes

Tonight marked the 75th annual presentation of the Golden Globe awards, as voted for by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and hosted by Seth Meyers. While the night included a historic speech from Oprah Winfrey accepting her Cecil B. DeMille award and a red carpet swarming with black clothes in recognition of #TimesUp, many favorite films and TV shows from the year were given center stage throughout respective categories. 

Big winners included “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri,” which won Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Screenplay for writer/director Martin McDonagh, Best Supporting Actor for Sam Rockwell and Best Actress in a Drama for Frances McDormand. “Lady Bird,” which won for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy; and “The Shape of Water,” which won “Best Director” and “Best Score”.
