Nandini Balial is a film and TV critic, essayist, and interviewer. After graduating with a BA in cinema studies from NYU in 2014, she has done everything from working in post-production to teaching high school English. Her work has appeared in Vulture, Defector, Harper's Bazaar, Slate, GQ, Men's Journal, and The Daily Beast, among other outlets. She reluctantly lives in Texas.
