While my first and most important thought for the past few weeks has been to wish you well in your recovery, I must confess that a bit of selfishness did peek through. Your absence reminded me of what a singular and irreplaceable force you are as a clear and true compass of film. Over the years I have flirted with many, but only you have my 100% “always on target” ability to help me pick the films I need to see. We don’t always agree, but over the years I have figured out how to read into your reviews to find where our tastes diverge. You are a phenomenal resource for us all. Please be healthy, and happy, and continue to help us thread through the minefield of film.
