In response to Steve Landon, anyone who “learned quite a bit” about global warming from “junkscience.com” is not going to change my mind very easily. Not only is the publisher of junkscience.com “a columnist for FoxNews.com” he was also voted a “‘leading debunker’ of global warming by Rolling Stone magazine” — which, incidentally, ENDORSED Al Gore’s movie this time around.
Even if it turns out that global warming is all just a big mistake, that doesn’t mean that we should give free reign to the “military-industrial complex” that is, one way or another, going to destroy our way of life. The “global warming is going to destroy our planet” debate sounds strikingly similar to the “video games make our children violent” debate. Rather than arguing over whether or not their is a causal relationship involved, it’s time that we step back and recognize that, regardless of the cause, the result isn’t looking too positive.
