“Hail, Caesar!” is the Coen brothers’ acerbic valentine to Hollywood’s Golden Age. Set in the early ’50s when the rigid studio system was beginning to crack, the film pays homage to the big screen epics and musicals. It simultaneously pulls back the curtain to reveal the truth behind the facade as “fixer” Eddie Mannix toils day and night to cover up his stars’ not so glamorous lives. Film journalist Katherine Tulich spoke to the film’s stars, George Clooney, Channing Tatum and Josh Brolin.
