He'll never lose his voice

From Mary Nign, Pasadena, CA:

I just want to let Roger Ebert know how much he is loved and appreciated. I used to watch him and Gene religiously, and then later started reading his reviews online. Whenever I see a film or am thinking of seeing a film, his site is always the one I go to first for his articulate, thoughtful and fair-minded reviews. He has been my most trusted movie advisor for 25 years now and I thank him deeply for that. I am so sorry he has lost his ability to speak, but I know he will never lose his voice. God Bless you, Roger, and I hope you will be writing reviews and enjoying movies for a long time to come.

Roger Ebert

Roger Ebert was the film critic of the Chicago Sun-Times from 1967 until his death in 2013. In 1975, he won the Pulitzer Prize for distinguished criticism.
