Speaking as a person with some experience with alcohol, I watch “Mad Men” with incredulity. The characters typically take their booze neat, usually at two fingers to a glass, and seem to start well before lunch. Yet there is surprisingly little drunkenness. Yes, an occasional character may throw up or urinate during a presentation, but Don Draper, in particular, seems to have a hollow leg.
