The Danish Girl lacks an immediacy and vibrancy, as well as a genuine sense of emotional connection.
I've seen a lot of editing feats like this, but there seems to be an uncanny match here between the music and the action. It consumes me with the desire to see a Rita Hayworth musical right away.
